Should TSN Upgrade the Mystery Card Format?

The game just needs some new players and cards. I do not want to see it go back to the 60's. Then it just duplicates ATG. How about reshuffling the five seasons on many of the existing players, adding some new cards in the process. Then add some more players. There must be at least 100 players that would fit. If anything, the decade rule could be relaxed by adding players who began their careers in 87-88 but played into the 90's. (There aren't many 90's teams in ATG.)

At least shuffle the cards of the players currently available in the game. Otherwise, leave it as is. It's a lot of fun, especially if you also play ATG and 1969.

TSN has players who have card seasons beginning in the mid-late 70s and some ending early 90s.

Why not have the 70s -> 90s (players who actual careers began by 70 / 80 / 90)?

I wouldn't want the 60s but with the mystery card aspect it wouldn't be so bad as you may get the good Roger Maris or the bad Roger Maris :wink:

Solution = Turn off Fantasim and hire Sykes as a consultant to do the legwork to update new players and implement HAL changes properly. 8)

I second Sykes' recommendation so long as Rennie Stennett and Dave Cash finds a spot on the roster of free agents!

We need more quality second basemen!

Felix Milan & Ed Ott can re-enact their slamming dancing steps too!

Iknow this is a weird idea...

but Id like to see a totally random player pool with mystery cards every time you play. There could be 700 scrubs to choose from or a whole bunch of studs. Everyone would join a league before seeing the players available. Another benefit to this would be you might recognize some opponents from previous leagues and could try to draft a team knowing that information.

I love the 80s game and don't want any major changes personally. It would be cool to have another completely independent mystery card game in ANY other decade. The 70s, 90s or even some earlier decades. How about the 1900s? The aspect of the mystery card would make it different than anything ATG can offer. In ATG you only see one card from any player. In the mystery card game it could be any one of 5 cards.

Don't mess up a good thing. I like the game just the way it is. Creation of a completely seperate mystery card game? YES, I'm for that. Inclusion of dozens (or hundreds) of additional player cards to the current 80's game? NO WAY. I don't want to make the player pool like ATG3 where there are 25 all stars, or HOFers, at every position.

If they changed a few card years of existing players or dropped some players and added others...I could live with that. I just don't want the size of the player pool to increase.

Pool should change (same pool size though)

I'd like to see a few different years and a few different faces from the 70s and 90s

Not an all-star league but something different than chasing the same 10 faces for the first pick.
