I forgot to list him in the default so HAL always wanted to by-pass him for Vuck.

The simple answer to the question of how to get the fifth starter out of the rotation is to select "select starter" on the drop down. You can get all of the starters out this way as well.

In the season beginning Monday I have 3 *starters: Hersh, Bryny, and Darling (the most Rogers-like guy I could find when I didn't get Rogers in the draft), in my rotation and am leaving the other two positions blank for now. Also, I am not setting a closer or setup guy. I have relief usage agressive and closer set to maximize (default settings?). I have two S6's (Swan and Lea) and one S6/R3 (Pastore) available to start. I am not setting per game starters at this time. I'm going cheap in my bullpen, w/Reardon being the most expensive. Also no limitations such as avoid using before x inning set on anyone.

Any thoughts on what HAL will do with this? Will I be 0-21 after the first week?

Also - regarding the "avoid lefties/righties" settings. Does HAL use these to just limit how substitutions are made, or does it also make him more likely to take a guy like Hassey out (if set to avoid lefties) when a lefty reliever has been brought in? Will the "avoid lefty/righty" setting on a starter make HAL more likely to bring in an early reliever???
