Thanks for asking our opinions before making a decision.
A few thoughts:
1) In my last league, I drafted Hershiser and he was having a terrible year for me. I traded him and in his first game for the new team and he got hurt revealing that it was his best year! I was just having bad dice rolls. I mention this example, because there already exists the possibility that a player's performance can change during the season.
2) It seems that the fact that there are 37 total topics and the last posted reply being November 3 for FantaSim should give some indication of the acceptance of the idea. (no offense intended, FantaSim was a noble idea).
3) While shuffling [i:c184e6878c]might[/i:c184e6878c] increase trading during the year, I definitely believe that it will cause dropped players to be picked more often.
4) Card shuffling will make tracking player injuries meaningless and, thus, reduce a lot of the in-season work that is created by BBT80.
5) I think trades will only occur using players having subpar seasons or where the injury has revealed the worst card. Guys having good seasons will never be traded. They are now, because known value can be traded for known value.
