Under the cloak of darkness 10 potential right fielders took to the field at Royal Stadium on Christmas Eve in a final attempt to secure a spot on the Krazy Keeshond roster.
Fitch: "Zisk's arm and range out there are a concern. Kal has the spot vs right handers locked down despite having the same issues, because of his bat and speed. Basically we want to give others a final look before deciding on who will play the OF vs LHP. The contenders are:
1) M. Webster S 2l 2e9, +0 arm, .333 ob%, .399 slg%
2) Cory Snyder R 2l 2e7 -4 arm, .284 ob%, .441 slg%
3) Bob Dernier R 2l 2e7 +0 arm, .309%, .320 slg%
4) D. Ford R 2l 3e11 -1 arm, .319 ob%, .427 slg%
5) J. Shelby S 1L 2e7 -3 arm, .290 ob%, .380 slg%
6) Richie Zisk R 2l 4e7 +0 arm, .343 ob%, .450 slg%
7) Pete Incaviglia R 2l 4e10 +0 arm, .309 ob%, .460 slg%
8) Glen Braggs R 2l 4e13 -1 arm, .306 ob%, .401 slg%
9) M. Brohard R 3l 4e9 +1 arm, .294 ob%, .396 slg%
and the still popular in Royal Stadium...
10) Al Cowens R 1l 2e6 -3 arm, .330 ob5, .459 slg%
Pitching to them during batting practice will be the 6 relief pitchers who have not yet secured a job, 2 of them will be cut. Kent Tekulve 8) has been assigned the closers job. Still looking for work are:
1) Steve Farr R E, R3, 1.32 whip
2) Gene Garber R 2R, R2, 1.27 whip
3) Bill Dawley R 1R, R3, 1.22 whip
4) D. Moore R 4l, R2, 1.22 whip
5) Don Carman L 2l, R3, 1.35 whip
6) Bob Kipper L E, R2, 1.28 whip
Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated. We want to provide all the Krazies with a competitive team! Krazy Keeshond [/color:629600d4f6][/size:629600d4f6]hats will be given to all fans tonight watching the competition at Royal Stadium. They got the classic black, grey, and white, Keeshond fur attached along with those same little black beady Keeshond eyes on it. Fake of course. If we don't win often, we'll at least have fans wearing uniquely cool hats at the game. "
