got swept again.....I noticed in our league that 11 teams are within 5 games of a playoff spot. The 12th team is kicking butt. Looking at the standings, it looks like this will be a very competitive league overall with even the bottom teams still having a shot at the Final 12 if they can pick up a title or playoffs in the last couple leagues.

The only bonus prize winner has been pwooten who is receiving the Nolan Ryan plus strikeouts autographed ball.

I don't know who has the longest hitting streak at this point and who has the highest batting average. Let me know if you have a player leading any of those stats.

Eckersley had 18 strikeouts in the 70s for me. Too bad, that a bonus prize for the most strikeouts will be given out in the 3rd league. I think 18 would have won it. My 70s team started 6-24. The least I can do is try to win a bonus prize.

Good luck to all!

Cooper - 24 games

Postby djkalle » Tue Feb 02, 2010 11:51 pm

Cecil Cooper has a 24 game hitting streak in 80's league #4. No current streak above 14 right now. Somebody must have more than 24.......

5. D. Winfield - Snowball's Chance - 19 (League 2)

Note: These were done in the middle of the games running for the night, so I don't know what is current or what is a day old (as of this writing at least)
It's just the leaders per league, there are plenty of players in second place in their respective leagues who would have made the top 5 overall.

After tonight we will be 99 games into Rounds #1 and #2. What is the time-table for launching Round #3? Just wondering because it will most likely take at least a week to mobilize everyone...

Announcement is coming this evening. I'll get LMBombers to randomize tomorrow and I'll send a PM to every set-up man from the previous leagues to notify all players.

You get a 70s team in at halftime of the Super Bowl. The plan is to load within a week, but 2 won't be a disaster. This will be a 70s load, and I'll probably load the final 80s 1 week later while we have everyone's attention.

You read my mind! :D

The Players Championship Round 3 will start closing on Saturday instead of Today. (Friday). It won't interfere with Valentine's weekend. Thanks for everyone's patience.
