Official Keepers League Rules

Postby coyote303 » Sun Feb 21, 2010 3:34 pm

The Eastern Division will be made up of the teams with the four best records. Here are the tiebreakers in case of a tie (tie-break winner gets placed in East):

1. division winner
2. wild card
3. head-to-head
4. if only one team in East last year, they stay
5. run differential
6. coin flip

The supplemental draft is ranked differently--partly to allow us to start it during the playoffs and partly because that how the pro football draft works. (I know; this is a baseball league!) Reverse order of win-loss records for the first eight places.

9. first-round loser with worst regular season record
10. first-round loser with best regular season record
11. finals loser
12. league champions

All ties resolved based on regular season (tie break "winner" picks last):

1. head-to-head
2. run differential
3. coin flip

Just to clarify: In the supplemental draft, the first eight picks are made by non-playoff teams.

Also, non-playoff teams may pick a new, unique stadium with their pick. If they do, can still pick a player, but their player gets picked after all other teams pick theirs.

Playoff teams are stuck where they are at!

Here are the unused stadiums:

Singles Homeruns
Ballpark Surface Cap. Lefty Righty Lefty Righty
Anaheim Stadium Grass 64,593 9 9 3 3
Arlington Stadium Grass 35,185 10 11 6 6

Comiskey Park Grass 52,000 14 14 5 5
County Stadium Grass 43,394 7 7 5 6
Dodger Stadium Grass 56,000 5 5 8 9

Jack Murphy Stadium Grass 58,671 9 9 7 6
Jarry Park Grass 28,456 16 16 14 14
Memorial Stadium Grass 52,184 1 3 8 8

Oakland Coliseum Grass 50,000 3 3 3 3

Royals Stadium Turf 40,625 12 19 3 3

Three Rivers Stadium Turf 47,971 10 10 8 8

Yankee Stadium Grass 57,145 5 4 10 3

Looks like Dodger. Memorial, Arlington (all very slight), and Royals are the remaining righty-tilted stadiums out there. Only Dodger offers the very slight advantage to righty's for homeruns.

The tiebreakers are making my eyes bleed! Anyway, The Knuckleheads and Clone War are switched since Clone Wars made the playoffs. So Knuckleheads go in the West and Clone Wars go in the Central. Knuckleheads have #4 pick, and Clone Wars' pick will be determined.

It was confusing because the standings list the Knuckleheads ahead of Clone Wars even though Clone Wars won the tiebreak and made the playoffs.

As Jimmy C mentioned in league mail, there were two playoff spots determined by a tiebreaker.

I think that we are just waiting on Clone War keepers? Good luck to playoffs teams.
