Who's the one stooping down to the level of personal insults? That was totally uncalled for.

I am sorry to everyone, especially Brad, for my involvement. I should have kept this discussion private and not dragged this out onto the board, especially considering the main point of what I had to say had nothing to do with the main point of the initial post.
Again, I have no problems with you or anyone else and I hope this could be put behind us sooner rather than later. I'm not here to make enemies.
This will be my last post in this thread, so Brad, feel free to get in the last insult because I'm sure I offended you again somehow with this post.

Yes you did offend me. I insulted the bogus tourney rules & rankings...I did not insult you until you did me. Just for your knowledge, I got several private messages in full agreement over the tournament stand I took. This may all be a waste of time & energy. But if champions get more respect in the next tourney then it was all worth it. Because when a season ends and I am not the only one standing in the end, I take it as a failure. Well except for the 70's game because its boring. I will not continue the insults on you peter. However whenever you can gather up $24.95 and play in another 80s...I will be waiting for you. That will be my revenge.

We will be more than happy to re-evaluate the scoring system for next year. I would appreciate any input over the next 6 months. I want to be fair to everyone and make this annual tournament a fun and rewarding event.

Part of having a Mystery game tourney involves playing in different decades, learning from each other, friendship, and becoming a better manager for future leagues.

We have just passed the halfway mark of this tourney and there is much baseball left. Anyone can still make a move including me who sits at #41.
Nonetheless, I have enjoyed the event and have gotten to know fellow managers a lot better. This is a great group of managers.

I think the system is clear and very fair. If you want to have a "champions" tournament where only league champions move on and nothing else matters, go ahead and put the time and effort into planning it (as Chess has done) and maybe people will show up to play. Maybe not, given the attitude you have shown here.

This tournament has been a lot of fun, its too bad you had to inject hostility and negativity into it.
