How about dem Gators?

I almost made Toisan dem Gators. But then that would mean I thought Toisan would win it all...and everyone knows who I'm really rooting for

Don't worry BC, I see you are on the boards, you will be analyzed in just a moment....

Number 7 seed - BCManager - 5 Playoff Appearances, 2 Rings

You know how they say the selection committee gets it wrong every now and then? It's criminal BC is listed as a number 7 seed. I feel he should probably be a number 4 or 5. Excellent competitor, normally hangs out in leagues made up of seasoned vets. Here is one lower seed who can seriously make a run deep into the tournament. One minor shortcoming - definitely believes rules are written in stone, no gray areas with BC, everything in black and white, and has no problem letting fellow competitors know exactly how he feels. Most resembles a team from a major conference like the Big East, finishing the regular season with a third place conference record, loses in semis of conference tournament, knocking off a top 10 school in the tourney before getting beaten by one. Is there any doubt?

Number 8 seed - Jack377 - 4 Playoff Appearances, 1 Ring

A relative newcomer on the move up. A manager many won't take seriously to their dentriment. Some question how many vet leagues this guy has been in. Great testimonial to what is great about the Strat community, asks his questions, is given great advice, and actually listens to it to tailor winning teams. Right on the cusp of credibility, a good run in this tournament will seal the fact Jack has arrived. Most resembles a school that learns from the past, is on the rise, and is about a year away from the Elite 8. LSU.

Go Tigers, Baby...just for the record, I've never done a vet league in the 80s game but I just rediscovered it and it's a blast rigging the right roster.

If I come in 8th, that will be cool with me... 8)

Thanks Sog. Didn't know I was black and white, though. Knowing nothing whatsoever about college basketball, (I is Candian, eh?) I'm happy to end up as Boston College (BC).

AD has run. I missed some key picks (ie., Brett) and still ended up with 8th waiver pick -- I look forward to weighted waivers.

Not a lot of desirable talent on the FA list. There's the problem with a league full of vets

Anyone want Roy Smalley. At least I got my Sandberg/Ripken combo.

Not that I'm going to complain, but I got most of the players I wanted. (3 of 4 SPs, 3 of 5 relievers (though I missed on Tekulve and Reardon, which hurts), and 7 of 9 starters (put Fernandez as my backup to Yount, so that one doesn't hurt at all, missed on Hargrove). Only got 2 .75'ers I wanted...oh well. Weighted waivers would've hurt me on this one.

Missed on Steve Howe, missed on Willie Randolph, only the second time ever I didn't list Brett on my draft card, looks like at least two others had him at or near number 1 so I don't feel so bad. But it hurt to miss number 1, Dale Murphy, first time I listed him number 1. Weighted waivers would give me a very realistic shot at Rickey, ain't no way I'm getting him at the number 7 slot.

I'll finish the remaining four seeds later this weekend.

As usual, I only missed 3 players from my card.

Got Gubizca instead of Steib...
Got Minton instead of Dave Smith...
Got Vandeberg instead of Garber...

15 for 15 on hitters leaves me w/o a DH, but I knew that going into my draft card. Morrison is chomping at the bit for the full time DH job at Fenway and could do it if needed.

Shocked to see some of the stadium choices taken, especially in my division. I like my chances right now to get out of round 1.

Definitely some stuff to work with but not the best...got almost my whole staff but missed on Raines, Winfield, Easler, and Tettleton...and still 10th! Ouch. Hope I can rig waiver picks to get at least one key addition because I've got Easter Dinner with the family all afternoon and evening...bad day for waivers with such a killer group. :(

Good luck, all. 8)
