I've been wanting to do an all-under 4.5 league for awhile

Let's do it after this one. The low budget league!

I agree, lets do this league after this one. We could do all under 4.5M or have one stud hitter and one stud pitcher with the rest being under 4.5M. Either one sound like fun!

YountFan floated lowering the threshold to $3.5 million. Would that change the character of the league? Or would that just open up a few new players?
It would make 31 new hitters available to the league, from John Stearns and Steve Sax at $3.52 through John Kruk at $3.99.

Any other ideas?

Me, I like a moribund team.

If you brought the threshold up to $4.5mm for starters also, it would then add 9 more options there. That, coupled with more hitting options might help some teams.

I won't vote against any changes that the group wants as some teams (not mine) seem to need disaster relief!!

,im not looking to change OUR rules.if we do we do,if we don,t we don,t,but for the future there needs to be a pool (free agent) to go to.BUT IF we do i agree it should be sooner than later just for the sake of it being worthwhile.heres an idea.i think after game 42 when it drops to 90% have a supplemental draft.set a limit on the number of players to be picked up.2 pitchers,3 hitters.-pitchers(5 mil or less)hitters 1-3mil,1-2mil,and 1-1mil hitter....just an idea or we can go with any other ideas or stay the course.....its up to the league.....any other ideas on this matter should be shared and talked about.........jeff

You could do a 2 round or 4 round live draft to the rights to take a player. That doesn't mean you have to take him immediately...but you would own the rights to him.

We could determine draft order by the reverse of how we picked our studs (oh...that would give me first pick hee hee). Just kidding...we could do the lottery thing again to determine draft order...normal serpentine draft.

Just some thoughts. Doesn't matter to me...I actually like my team but I will go with the group decision.

This is not a bad idea, but if people need a larger player pool the adding 36 hitters and say 36 pitchers by streeeeeching the dollar limits would work. Then let the chips fall where they lay. I would accept something like this after game 42.
