Just curious, how do we pick divisions. Why in the world would you pick up 2 stadiums. Also do we open up players on Friday, as long as it is before 5:00.

Folks, we need 5 more to fill an 80's live draft league. Check out the link below if you're interested! :)

Cheez, I didn't know Ripken had already been won either. I also mistakenly bid on Dickie Thon instead of Dick Schofield, bums me out. Sometimes the time difference works for me, unless fellow weasel Big (there, you made the list, BigMahon) gets up early and prevents by 0430 bids from becoming mine. And what are you doing up at 0130, Penn? You are supposed to let Mattingly slide to me at a reasonable price, instead of upping the premium paid on him....

I'd have done the same to you, though!! :P

:P

he was too cheap to let go...he still is ;)

Divisions are random only because I didnt get a state lotto pick going.

and yes we are completely freezing the auction 5 pm EST today....and adding 3 days to all bids meaning the next expiration will be monday after 5 pm. Kind of a bummer to freeze it that long but I really believe its the safest way since Im not around on the weekend to make sure no bids expire.

Penn doesn't have to stay up he has Weasel code built into the program. :P

Penn, it seems like the auction is already frozen. I think there were a few bids that should have closed this morning, that have not. (Henderson, Gedman, etc.).

Normally in auction formats, owners do bid on 2 parks. This happens on the tour all the time. I added the Kingdome in hopes of snaking somebody into blowing money on that park as well. Well that snake bit me instead. The good thing is I can guarantee that a Kingdome team will not be in my division and due to that park being gone, I can have a better chance of cornering the obscure BPHR hitters later on in the season. :?

I've never used that full amount of auction money before, so I was prepared to pay for parks.

The auction is not frozen currently. The moment somebody makes another bid, all expired bids will be awarded.

lol Rigged :D :D

I was up drinking, I should leave the computer alone then ;)

BC, bids that have expire dates already passed wont leave the outstanding list until someone bids on something. I dont have any routines running on the server to auto close players. No worries though, those players are closed just not moved off the outstanding list.

Sykes is correct, lots of us bid on 2 parks (that is the max) and its nice to sometimes "Block" a park like sykes did. 8 mil is steep but if sykes has extra money why not :D :D

Will some of you please bid 10 mil on parks like Royals!!!! :D :D

btw, I have to say this has been a really smooth auction and pretty balanced so far. Everyone has one or two players they are going to the bank for and lots of other players are getting off "fairly cheap".

I do apologize if anyone is disappointed with me freezing the draft at 5 today for the weekend (I am disappointed actually, I love this stuff) but I think its the right thing to do. Its going to be a great weekend and we should be worried about bidding 30 mil or not on a player :D :D
