YF,

Hargrove, Grich, Downing & DeLeon wouldn't have made my opening day roster for a Fenway team. I love the rest of your team. I've never been a Grich fan.

Fisk, Yount, Mitchell, Lynn & Tartabull are great Fenway players. I don't know who's available, but watch the waivers and if you can upgrade those four, make the move.

Looks like YD has figured this league out pretty quick, off to a smokin' 6-0 start! Nice job, Dog.

Mike, thanks for the kind words. YOu keep right on with the Raiders. I enjoyed that league for many seasons, and I'm sure you will enjoy it as well with this great group of guys. Thanks for steppin in for me!

Take care , all!

Hargrove is hitting 9th and will be on base for the top of the order. Grich should do well (I have had excellent luck with him) and DeLeon kills RHH and will be on a short rope. I had Chilli Davis but swapped him for Downing and his OBP (hitting 8th)

Have fun rehabbing!!

It's the Kevin McReynolds effect. Even though he himself is not playing well, the team gets a huge morale boost when he plays.

UGH...I'm off to a 1-5 start at Fenway. I'm beginning to remember why I've never played there!!

Well...at least I have the rest of the league out in front of me...right where I can keep an eye on them. :D

McReynolds is waiting to unleash his fury on your team Voovits. He's one of several guys I never ever use that I took for this team, mostly because I don't usually play in HR friendly parks like Tiger:

Jody Davis, Jerry Reuss, Len Barker, Shawon Dunston, Bob Horner.

What does everyone think of their team so far?

Sean, if you're reading this, which team do you think I'll be facing in the finals? =)

Looks like it's going to be a good season all around.

Well...It's my first season in Fenway Park, so with 27 games under my belt I'm not out of it already :D so I'm pretty happy so far. The hitting has been excellent (except for Rickey), and the bullpen has been exceptional (5-1-6).

The starting pitching is another story. I just made my first moves there, and I may have lucked-out with Honeycutt...we'll see. I'm pretty sure the starters are going to be a season-long work in progress. UGH...Hitters parks!!

Its too bad I did not know about Fenway being his favorite park, otherwise I would have made Fenway a requirement.

I'm happy with my team so far. I got lucky with Bando, Sheets and the newly acquired Brooks, getting all their best years, while avoiding Mattinglys worst year (sadly, not the same for Boggs, but I got Brooks out of it). I got some bright spots in the starting rotation and bullpen as well.

Though I'm feeling good about my team, there are lots of good teams out there and winning will be difficult.

I took Fenway and think I am paying for it. The boys just are not performing, but changes are-a-comin'
