in one breath we say what a great pace we are on and in the next we are complaining and looking to move it faster with a 2 hour window. People make plans...if BigA made plans to draft this week and get done with a 4 hour window he should have that right...i would say move it to 3 but no shorter....unless everyone agrees. If everyone is up for it i will vote for two or one...but lets remember we are moving fast and we want everyone to be compettitive...and if we keep skipping bigA then he is less likely to be comptetitive.

Make any sense? I would love to wrap it up tommorrow...hell i will take a day off....but it is not what we had agreed the rules would be....i think 4 hours is way too long...

YF votes for 3 hours then move to 2 at a later time say round 30

Chill out Ice. (Always wanted to say that  )

We're still discussing.

General consensus still indicates that people should check in once daily and make sure they have enough proxies to keep moving. No matter what the clock is, none of us enjoy skipping anybody.

Thanks for your input, ice. Before I read your post, I was already thinking 2 hours would be too harsh at this stage of the draft. Given that we will be stuck with these players indefinitely, I don't want anyone punished too severely while we're still drafting our top 25.

Clock change

Postby BC Manager » Wed Feb 15, 2006 12:46 am

Ok, I tried to change the clock to 3 hours but it didn't seem to work.

Sykes, can you change it tonight or in the morning, please?

Hey, I resemble that remark!

I'm the dumbest genius you'll ever meet

Hey gang, as far as the clock limit goes, it doesn't matter to me. I know we've gotten hung up a few times, but I love this draft format, and if it takes a couple extra days longer, it just helps me hold on to my money by not buying any other teams while I'm involved in the live draft.

In fact if we do a live draft of 54 rounds once a month, I could probably save hundreds of dollars a year!!! After all, drafting is as much fun as managing the actual team, right? And, I don't lose nearly as often !!

Unfortunately Sean, I spend more money on teams while I await lives drafts to finish. I generally go out and creat some type of personal theme team.

Last one which is under way is called "Swing and Miss". 59 k's in 52 innings so far for my pitching staff, with Mike Scott having 0 K's in his first start of the year. I hope to shatter the top spot for team pitching strikouts. This pace puts me 300+ ahead of teh current record, although it is only 6 games into the year.

I have one which will draft tomorrow called "Shutouts". I hope to lead the league in times I throw a shutout and times that I get shutout.
