great job fill the league. Basic training starts tomorrow. I will be working hard to blend my team of studs with the rejects to complete my mission.

I can never remember this but I think I have Stargell, R. Smith and Cedeno. I know Stargell is first.

This mission is doomed already. I don't know if I want to sacrifice my 4-fs for a guy like Reisman who has Larry Bowa in his autodraft. I thought Bowa was in Canauscot's squad.

You are right about Bowa. My bad. I'll do 50 pushups. I made a trade offer to him to set it right.

My squad is looking rough and should struggle to score runs. I am hoping for the best of my rejects and IF I get the good card, things could pan out. But they might not. I'll do my best to get them in shape for a championship run, but I am only super-human, not a god (contrary to popular opinion)

QT is remaking the 1978 classic... I'm not sure, but the title is the same

Don't Gamble on Major Reisman

Dunning, Steve - 0 IP...perfect
Farmer, Ed - 1.54 WHIP, but no too shabby

Robertson, Bob 14 HR .315, .393, .651 -- Hard to complain about that!
Pepitone, Joe (best card) .311, .351, .533 - Nice reject!
Torres, Rusty 8 HR, killing RHP, nice D. Super value
Lahoud, Joe (bad card - great status) - .293, .390, .509

I have lucked out with my rejects. Even Capt Palmer is doing well. I wish I could get over .500!

Crackers Update

Postby pwootten » Sun Jan 25, 2009 8:23 pm

Mike Lum .356 BA/.414 OBP in 87 AB. He's pretty much saved us as DH so far.

The rest of my guys: Mason, Sorensen, Decker, and Jerry Turner, are largely confined to the barracks.

The jury is still out on Steve Carlton, but I don't think I have one of his better years.
