[quote:f4200ccc62="Jimmy_C"]I truly think it is a point of excellence that Bernie asked his customers' opinion before simply doing something he thought was a good idea.

Thanks Bernie...[/quote:f4200ccc62]

Dealing with bad years is a part of the game. Great players having cruddy cards just frees up more salary to pick up additional players to cover the problem, and thus forces mroe gambling, use of more of the players on the list, etc. If you want to create a seminal change in the game, I suggest doing something about salaries. Add some .50 players, for example, or maybe increase the cost of the high end players, and the way peolpe draft will change. I like the game the way it is, because you simply HAVE to depend on getting some performances out of lesser players. Nothing like tossing Bob Bailor in the lineup at the midpoint, and having him hit .328 for you the rest of the year. Same experience is applying in our decage league -- got stuck with Damaso Garcia and Craig Reynolds and BOTH, somehow, are hitting over .300. THAT's the fun of the game -- getting the most out of a TEAM.
