Does anyone know if we are going to have website of the standing like we did last year... I think that it would be cool to see how each league is doing.

This was the last post on the subject from Jablowmi on the other tourney thread:

[quote:fa855bcac0]Good luck, everyone. I hope we see the tourney page shortly. I've sent the information to Bernie, but haven't heard back. Should be fun, although I'm usually much more comfortable with my teams at this point........ [/quote:fa855bcac0]

We just have to wait for Bernie to set it up...

It must feel great to get a no-hitter. I had one with 2 outs in the 9th with Mike Scott but a .75 hitter broke it up. Congrats to you for the no-no.

That's fun to see. In my short history, we've broken up three no hitters, including a perfect game by Tiant. He was one roll away.

Although I favor pitching in my teams, I haven't come close. A one hitter by Sutton I think.

The closest I've come is Bill Stoneman. He was one out away from a no-hitter before giving up his first hit. Of course he did walk 8 batters :D

Now from the opposite end, Catfish Hunter threw a no-hitter against me. What made this even more embarrassing, he threw a one -hitter against me 2 days later. One hit in 18 innings. I was so excited that I picked up Catfish in my next 70s league. He won 29 games, but in the critical game 5 of the 1st round of the playoffs(70s/80s Barnstormer), HAL made sure he got injured in the 3rd inning and well, my relievers blew it.

These experiences have turned me from a nice guy into a merciless cutthroat manager. That is why I am "The Dark Horse" heading into this 70s/80s Championship. There will be no prisoners on my way to the final 12. I don't expect to see Jablowmi, Jimmy C,or MoodyWoody there. They had their 15 minutes of fame. If they end up in my league, I'll take them out! Echo, however, is another story after getting swept by her. Nonetheless, we'll see if she cracks under "Final 12' pressure. Who needs Catfish when Frank Lacorte can do the same thing!

Wanna talk trash? My 70's team is trash! OMG it's soooo freaking bad. I've lost 8 of 9 and can't shake the jablowmi curse. Last time I was in a league with him my team was 50-31 at the halfway mark and finished up 31-50. This team might lose 90+ games and I've NEVER had a mystery card team lose more than 85. At the rate I'm going through players Roger Repoz will be on my team by week's end. Worst.team.ever

Trash is losing 10 out of 12 with 6 hitters batting over .350. HAL likes to toy with eventual Champions, Echo to test their patience. Don't worry about Jablowmi's curse, Echo. At the end of this tiurnamnent, he'll be an "also ran" and you'll be in the Final 12.

Nice moves with this team Jenn. Your team is on a 16-8 tear, and your +37 run differential is now the best in your division. You made a lot of quick cuts (which can be hazardous) but your team has come out of the downward spiral very nicely. You are a mere 3 games out of first place, and may have found the antidote to the Jablowmi curse. :D
Great turnaround.
