[quote:c91f6a6109="LMBombers"]Personally I think the 75¢ players chosen are pretty much the dregs of the dregs and are sufficiently sucky enough. However if you did eliminate all the 75¢ players we would have the most difficulty at SS for over 2M players that are rarely used. You would end up with players for SS where SS is not their primary position like:
Tony Phillips 2.05
Cory Snyder 2.80
Some others like: Wiggins, Castino, Bannister & Backman are already listed at a different position.[/quote:c91f6a6109]
I was using YountFan's site for the % and position listings. The problem with eliminating the .75 guys is that the 80's player pool is thinner than the 70's and if I added more SS above .75 they would be fairly common guys like Franco, Templeton, Bowa, etc. That would mean adding more OFs (we already have about 40). Eliminating the sucky .75 relievers would mean more common relievers. The last six relievers I added are not that uncommon (or bad) just overpriced. I think by eliminating the use of any starter below .75 (even in relief) that will make it harder for teams to hide their really bad pitchers. If you want a 4 million dollar spot for a guy you don't ever use, that will be more difficult than putting Ray Burris or Bruce Kison on your team. As for the .75 hitters? The ones I listed are pretty uncommon and hopefully some take a roster spot away from more common utility guys. I would prefer to keep them since they are rarely used.
Also if you take Keith Moreland, who is catcher eligible, you still have to take one of the 12 catchers listed.
