Family Ties Draft Complete - League is Loaded!

Our Mystery Card games - The '70s Game, Back to the '80s, Back to the '90s

If these guys are put in families, does hat mean they can't be traded without each other? Would Bailor and Baylor be considered the same last name?

I also love K12 - the color family. If you want to trade a color, do you have to trade all the colors??

Wow this filled up fast! We will run lotto pick 3 tonight. Hi-lo. Highest gets first pick, lowest last pick. First pick in rd 1 picks last rd, just like the last league.

I did some switching around so Baylor/Bailor, Dawley/Dayley, Foli/Foley can become families! The big new addition was Madlock at 3B as I moved Lansford to 1B to accomodate Baylor/Bailor in a farm group.

The league will be 100 million. That's more than enough cash for this league. Worked fine in the 70's with more expensive salaries. Remember you will be able to add/drop at will as no one can claim your players. In the other league I regularly dropped guys who were injured for 5 or more games and picked them back up when they got healthy.

Colors? Not a full group like the Macs/O's. You have to keep the Whites and Browns together but Bud and Vida don't have color matches so they can be dealt. BTW I kind of like that group so stay away!

Are they really related? I didn't include Van Slyke in the player pool so for the sake of this game no. It would get pretty confusing if we can't match names. Took forever for me to figure out who that NY Met # RP was!

I'm ready to get the ball rolling. When do the lotto results come in?
is there one centralized site that gathers all of them already or do you have to go to each individual state website?

There are various sites but all of the states don't post at the same time. It will be around midnight before we get all of the numbers in.

The draft can start as soon as we get all of the numbers but I don't want to start any clock on the weekend. It is important that everyone checks in frequently though. I suggest PM'ing someone if you know you will be away from the computer for a lengthy time. I work odd hours so I will let everyone know here when I won't be around. If anyone will be around and can help with proxies please volunteer here.

I think the 70's draft took about a week. I think we had one delay, but nothing major. That league had a bunch of trades. Jimmy and I completed a 20 player trade right after the draft! I did it to get Bart Johnson :D

BTW where can I find a stadium list for the 80's? I would hate to deny someone a chance to draft a stadium in round 1 :o
