Our Mystery Card games - The '70s Game, Back to the '80s, Back to the '90s

This is turning out to be one of the longest 3 days ever. I wish the leagues would start tonight!

When will the homepage be updated so we could see the other leagues?

I ended up with my first 13 picks in the '70s. I've never had that happen before. This will show if I know what I am doing when I draft or if I just draft players nobody else wants.

I'm in Mike's 70s league and his team looks very good. Jimmy C is in the same league. He may have had a bad auto-draft (despite snagging both Stargell and Bonds?) but he had a great waivers, grabbing Reggie and Fergie (Jenkins) in his first two rounds, and picking up other useful players down the line.

I, OTOH, had both a bad draft and a bad waivers in this 70s league.

My 80s draft was pretty good, though. Now...watch the 70s team do well while the 80s team tanks. :?

I think I may start my 70's league with Jimmy Wynn at SS! I actually started one 70's season with no SS on my roster (not even anyone with a SS-4 rating) and HAL put Wynn at SS. I played him there six games until I decided I probably should pick up a real SS.

My experience was much like Outta Leftfields, bad draft, bad waivers in the 70s and I like this team the least of my 30 or so 70s teams on paper. OTOH, I love my 80s team. Guess that means 95 wins in the 70s and 72 wins in the 80s.

Good luck to all.

My 80's team should be interesting, so I'm looking forward to that. I'm worried about 70's. Not much experience and it is so weird seeing all the OPS being so much lower. Fingers crossed!

EDIT: Made a change of LF in 80's that I hope will be beneficial . . . 70's still scares me heh . . . but I'm about as done as I can be, so it's pretty much left to cross my fingers and wish everyone good luck . . . except in your games against me.

11:30 (central time) and no games yet!
The past several days my one 70s league had run by 11:15, now nothing!
HAL plays the games slower than usual when he knows I'm anxiously waiting for them to finish.
