Still no reply to my PM. I sent a PM to Larry also at TSN and asked if TSN wouldn't mind calling him to "offer him a magazine subscription deal." But he said he couldn't do that. Since this is totally out of character for him, I fear that something bad has happened at this point. I'd rather have someone say good-bye if faced with burnout than to disappear without a trace.
