[quote:2aff5b91c3="BC Manager"]Also, I should point out that BigAl's team is loaded and IMB's team is not.

Assuming DeJesus is on BigAl's AD roster, IMB would have to include Franco on his roster to complete this deal. If DeJesus is not on BigA's roster, he's a FA and can only be traded by a team that acquires him.[/quote:2aff5b91c3]

I sound like Big Brother. Probably appropriate since it's 1984! :D

Once again, this is a problem, since I am trying to deal Franco to save $$$. Sorry BigAl, this won't work for me if I have to put him on my draft sheet.

And when will this player be named? Does it involve one of these players being traded back to the original team (not that this is necessarily a problem)?

BC, I can't speak for the parties involved, but I don't see a problem with the trade -- the player to be named later may be whatever scrub $.75er YF comes up with after the draft ... either way, the trade should be ok.

On another note, if Franco is not drafted, he is fair game on the waiver wires, correct? I know I could certainly use him on my squad ... want to make sure I understand the rules here so I don't pick up somebody in the waiver wire I shouldn't.

My understanding of the waivers for 1984 is that anyone with eligibility in 1984, as well as all $.75ers, are available in the waiver draft to all teams. Is this correct?

The trade is fine. YF explained the player-to-be-named part and it's not an issue. Not saying it would be an issue, if it did involve trading one of the players back. Just wanted to clarify.

In the majors the P-T-B-N-L is reported to the commish's office until the deal is completed. Someone(BC) SHOULD be told who is involved in this deal.

I have been told. I don't think anyone here would object if they knew who the PTBNL was. There's no real reason to keep it secret. Regardless, it will be revealed before the season starts.

Just for the record, I am not declaring an intention to cut Franco to the box, simply that I would like to move him to free up money. If anybody in the West or Penn would like to deal for him, he is on the trading block.
