Live draft...why not?

Our Mystery Card games - The '70s Game, Back to the '80s, Back to the '90s

Postby Semper Gumby » Wed Mar 29, 2006 9:13 pm

Jimmy,

How sad but true. Our other teams are making the most and against the top teams in the other divisions - that makes it worse.

My trade for Vuck / Murray / Camp <- Daniels / Swan / Campbell almost killed me as Vuck's card can wiff the best of them but he gets hit like a battered dog.

Murray? Where are you?

Camp? Made a few changes to his settings and the guy is a nightmare on opposing batters. Not sure what year but he has been worth the trade by himself.

Of course, I send the better Daniels' and Swan cards to the other conference. I'm sure I had the average year for Campbell.

We'll see in this league now that I've found Anderson's card

Suffering through a severe slump.

I can't pitch all of a sudden...

My team is taking one step forward and two back each week.

I'm ruining great pitch outings by Andujar. He has been nearly flawless but for his record.

Even with Hargrove's OBP, the team has lost its stroke in the hitting department. Otherwise, I am dropping too many close games due to the balk / wild pitch issues.

The final week...

Postby Jimmy_C » Mon May 01, 2006 7:11 am

15 games to go and 7 teams are very much in it:

I organized this live-draft league while HAL was getting a service upgrade...for a few days (everything strat was at a complete standstill at the time...remember?). Since then...there really was a service upgrade which is cool!!

I look forward to playing with this "Band of Brothers" again if somebody wants to get something rolling again. Way too much going on in my "real life" to do it now.

Good luck in the final week men...

My guys are still taking one step forward and two steps back.

I'm still wondering how I got outpitched this weekend - dropping 5 games in a row after dominanting the division from the opening series.

Unbelievable last two weeks.

After dominating the division, my team decides to take a powder (2-8) over the last 10 games. I've turned a lead into a challenge now. What gets my goat is nothing has changed among the team's compositions besides a trade and a few adds/drops. No game breakers -

Perhaps that swift inner division trade for Pedro G had something to do with it

I think that quickie needs to be reviewed again :D

After further review...The call stands as is.

The trade is fine, and my team still sucks.

While I had a "good" time with you guys this season, I'm gonna pass on another future league for now.

Life (2 y/o old and a 8 week old girl), a major house remodel and moving my business to another location take higher priority.

I will be back as soon as life permits me to. 8)
