March Madness - Round 1 Review/Round 2 Discussion

Our Mystery Card games - The '70s Game, Back to the '80s, Back to the '90s

I just think it would be a simpler way to do it. Does it really matter that much? It would just speed the leagues along. I am afraid the longer the leagues wait, the more likely we lose a manager or two. Then we have no reason to keep going if managers are dropping out because the leagues are dragging on too long. My team has clinched a playoff spot. I am not suggesting this because I am afraid of losing my seeding. If we get started during the playoffs, then all 36 remaining managers have something to do besides wait for playoff results. I would think Jablowmi could propose a rules change. I dont think the change would hurt anyone. I just dont see a downside to the change. Maybe I am wrong in that thought.

I am fine with starting up rd 2 before playoffs are over. panzer ace makes a good point about losing mgrs.

lets get going after the season ends.not that the playoffs don,t matter...i,d rather get it up and going ASAP to avoid what, a two week wait for the playoffs to end? i think.thats a long lull.IF i am correct on the two weeks.just my 2 cents.......

My thought is in line with Panzer's. We don't want to lose anybody (we need 36 managers to continue!) and its easier to contact everyone while the league is still active. By not waiting, I don't think there is any advantage or disadvantage for a league champ.

Remember, in the first round, we had to move one or two teams around b/c they weren't able to fill when needed.

To follow-up, now that i've read all of the messages, I agreed with Panzer re: the quick start of the next round and I also have no problem with continuing with the original seeds, like March Madness. Makes it easier for me and probably makes more sense. If we assume that the top seeds really are TOP seeds, then this will spread them out a little.
