I've got all the league stats imported into the database now. Yea. 8)
Now I just need some direction on how you guys want to see these stats. Give me ideas since for what I lack in imagination, I make up for in results. Here are some of my ideas:
Manager rankings with wins/losses/win percentage/playoffs/championships.
Top ten career hitters by SLG/BA/OPS/SB/R
Top ten career pitchers by Wins/ERA/WHIP/SO
Career stats by team (splits and Home/Road too.)
Yaddah yaddah
The only thing I can't easily do right now is develop a query based on positions - so I can't do the top ten SS's or something like that.
But I can do just about anything else.
Right now, I'm desperately trying to learn .asp so that I can just post my database to a website and you all can just point and click the reports/rosters that you want dynamically...no promises on that but I'll look into it. (I've always wanted to do that anyways.)
Some things I got going on in the background right now...
My table names aren't compatible for .asp hosting so that screws up my query sets. It'll take a little bit of time to work that crap out. But I've always got a redundant database for backup in case I totally blow it. :P So roster transactions shouldn't be a problem.
I'm also going to merge the Double Franchise League into this database. And that will take some time also. Reason being that this database is the one I started way back when and I run my stats out of it.
The reason that I am looking into .asp hosting is so that I can reduce the file size somewhat. The rosters you see are reports and they chew up some space + they are static. Anyhow, that's what's going on in my world.
Hope Mav shows up soon.
