Even though this rule would make things significantly easier for me this season, I would prefer that we not adopt the rule. Rosters should be at or under $80M at the time each team roster is submiitted to the league. I would vote no.

I vote no as well.

If you want a player, make room for him. If he fails to hit your roster after the auto-draft, he is fair game (unless we have a legit error when you leave somebody off by mistake, in which case your first waiver pick must be that player, a.k.a. the "Tim Wallach" rule.)

Oh, I thought there'd be support for this idea. I'll go with the league consensus, which so far is against it.

Here's another way of explaining my thinking. It's kind of silly to have to fit 25 players under the salary cap, when most teams are going to only carry 23 or 24. But having to fit 25 is an additional challenge, and we're all faced with it.

As for the 'Wallach' rule, keep in mind I only allowed it because Sykes had extra room for Wallach, so there was no advantage gained by mistakenly leaving him off. The difference last year when Dingo had a hissy-fit over forgetting Leonard was that he didn't have room for him on the roster he entered, and couldn't tell us who he would've left off his AD card to make room for Leonard. I recall last season many teams failed to include their drafted players on their AD cards. It will be up to people to remember this year.

I think you should have to draft a 25 man roster and then you can do whatever you want afterwards.

As for the Wallach incident, as stated, I did not leave Tim off my card in order to gain an advantage on hopefully landing an undrafted player. All seasons should provide the same issue. Who is to say that I am not going to "protect" 1 high priced player so I can take an extra shot at an un-protected player? I don't think any of us would do that persay, but let's remove the margin of error here m'kay?

If we don't have a "Wallach" rule, then I think everyone should know then that if any player is on the free agent list after the autodraft, that person is free for anyone to pick up via waivers.

I honestly don't care, but I just want something set in stone. Either all players on the FA list are free to pick up or there is a Wallach rule. No more "oops, I forgot to put him on my draft card or oops, I made a mistake drafting and now have too much salary."

I'd prefer to have no "Wallach rule", that way when I look at the FA list, I don't have to check it against any other list to know whether or not I can pick up that player.

Just my 2 cents.

Given the opposition apparent, the rule I proposed will [i:471dfb6959]not[/i:471dfb6959] be implemented.

No mulligans this year. You leave someone eligible off your roster he's fair game for eveyone.

I am willing to entertain offers on Charlie Hough. His card has performed on TSN in the same way it used to back in the 80's... it ain't pretty... but its a WIN!! For whatever reason, Charlie just seems to pitch well enough to get the W. If you have any interest in him, let's make a deal!!

Albert is away. We knew we would be delayed to start this year.

Now that the reveals are in, let's look over our boys from past years eh?
