Why does it it take two weeks to fill our leagues?

if so i'd be interested in knowing how exactly this works. we choose 1-2 teams and draft only from them? what if a guy played on multiple teams--first come first serve? what about trades and free agents?

Not looking for new owners yet, but the way things are going it may not be long. Teams own rights to players who played on their teams for this season and 'compete' for players who belonged to more than one team. Trades are allowed and players belonging to the unclaimed teams are free agents (for example, this season, 83, no one has the Mariners or Twins)

Not really....we are a bunch of lingerers. Draft for weeks, load for weeks and I while I understand and in reality it is not a big deal it is bugging me. And it really shouldn't so maybe it is time to pack it in, or at least move on to something else. I am not sure I can do 15 more seasons. Think about 3 weeks between start. That is almost a YEAR of downtime right there. Maybe I am just tired.

It's been bugging me too, YF. Especially in the other league where everyone was quick to confirm their commitment to being active and then several owners went on to hold us for days at a time. That actually pisses me right off.

I understand that life can get in the way, as it happens to me. But I get annoyed when no one has the courtesy to say "hey guys, I'm gonna be unavailable for a couple of days because....". Instead it ends up seeming like they just don't bother to check in for a few days and that's plain inconsiderate.

My intention is to set some firm guidelines for both this and the 3BDecade league after the upcoming season. Must make your first pick within a certain time frame, must pick within a certain time or you're skipped, can only be skipped so many time, must load within a certain time. The consequences will include being replaced -- as I'm sure I can find others who are interested and prepared to pay attention.

Don't bail yet YF. I'll purge these leagues if I have to, rather than lose good owners.
