I'm still under the rock and in the bunker until late Thursday night. I had access to an unclassified PC last night / morning.

I'm going "dark" again from this morning but will be back on Friday morning back in Cleveland.

So, please run the killers through the paces!

FRANKLIN STUBBS FAN CLUB CREATED!

While Admirals didn't get around to any post-waivers moves until today, the 5% lost on the salaries dumped likely didn't dent the smile triggered by .75er Stubbs and his 5 homers in 15 ABs last night! Holy Moley! Watch out for the Franklin Mint!

Geez...got three partial injury reveals in the first night of games! I sure hope the balance of my season won't be so riddled with injuries! I've got either the best ('87) or worst ('88) Kruk year, one of Reynold's best three years ('87, '88 or '89), and either the best or 4th best Eric Davis card ('87 or '88)...I wish I knew that last one in particular! Now if I could only come up with a way to keep track of all of this information as I compile it...I tend to be kinda sloppy.

Furthermore, Bombers got a specific injury reveal on Hal McRae last night - the stretchers were all over the field in the first series of the regular season! McRae's playing his 1980 card this season - not bad, not bad at all...(athough apparently not sufficient to keep him, as he's now been cut loose in favor of Pete Rose).

Bad break for Hurricanes...dropped Mattingly after the first series - injury reveal of his worst year ('92). That's gotta hurt.

First Night

Not bad. Don't like being 1-2 but I'm thinking positive about it. Don't like my defense at all and I don't like Greenwell going 0-8 to start either.

I'm hoping that I can club the ball enough and squeak enough pitching through to make it to the next round.

I think the east will be very competitive against each other. Therefore, I'm hoping the central will put the offensive smackdown on my rivals when they travel to your houses. :D

I failed in my attempt to trade for Mattingly in preseason but I don't have any regrets now. Phew.

Yep, I'm gonna miss Donny Ballgame...should have accepted that offer of Jack Clark before the season!

Lowenstein started slow, too...If I've got his bad year as well there will be more changes afoot for the 'Canes...

At least I'm 2-1 and assured of beating my 1-11 start of last season...

I think the main thing I got out of night one was that I might have a good Mike Young card. Once again I have Dale Murphy and he's useless. Hopefully it was just a bad night.

Mattingly and Cooper both gone after 6 games... The All Star voting at 1st base will be wide open!

Mattingly, Cooper, Murray (for a short time span) all have hit the FA in less than 12 games.

Well, 9-9 after 1st round of Division Play...better than 1-11 and 4-17. Now that I've started with mediocrity, maybe I'll stay there all year and cheese through another round that way instead of fighting all season to get within earshot of .500...

Pitching looks good...haven't decided who hitting the ball yet, although Dave Winfield finally got an extrabase hit and scored a run...

How many make it through this round? Is it too early to start asking?
