You can say that again. Insane like a mad scientist. Sykes makes leagues fun. You'll enjoy having him in with you guys and you will learn a lot about making the most from the least. Sykes is about as straight as they come.

I agree. You guys have a good thread going. If you simply put the vets in a single division (with some type of self imposed handicaps) and fill out the rest with newcombers, I [u:9811971388]know[/u:9811971388] that you'll have a blast.

P.S. Rooks is a good one to include with YF and Sykes too.[/i]

[quote:ea4bdec6e6]Sorry guys, while your intentions are good in trying to help fill this league, I don't think I can be part of a league where managers have restrictions. I am much to proud. Though fairly new, 2 completed seasons and one current, I would enjoy being part of one of your vet leagues. Not crazy about theme leagues however with my lack of 80's experience.[/quote:ea4bdec6e6]

These guys want to do it for the challenge and a chance to escape from burnout. It gives them another chance to play cards that they don't normally use (which is quite fun) and break away from their normal draft strategies. Believe me. The self imposed restrictions give them a jolt when it comes to creating draft cards. I think you should jump in. YF, Sykes, and Rooks in the same division vying for a playoff spot while the rest of you guys enjoy the bigger pool sounds like a winner to me.

I know you'd have a blast. You should stay in the league.

Have we talked about what restrictions, if any Sykes will have etc. I would just as soon have the ideas and concepts as they come, and the ability to ask questions.

I am in the same division as them and would feel really bad if they beat me with restrictions. :(

Okay I am back in but only if all 12 managers play to win. If any manager wants to share why he did something with the rest of the league that is fine.
I am the Milford Mashers and I will play in the Kingdome

But how does this work once you get the names?

Anyway, if you want me (I'm only on my second 80s team, and third overall), I'll play in the west as the Somerset Bulldogs. I'll play in Candlestick Park.

following league so far....

East
1- Massachusetts Midnight Riders - Yankee Stadium
2- Honestiago - Somerset Bulldogs - Candlestick Park
3- Genevajack-Jack Murphy
4- Jet40 - Milford Mashers- Kingdome

Central
1-Sykes
2- Yount Fan
3- Chief78 - Tiger Stadium
4- Rooksa1958

West
1-
2-
3-
4-

Honestiago, I put you in the east since you are still a new owner to the league, and I wanted to fill up the east before moving to the west. If you really want to be in the west, then I can move you but I can't guarantee the caliber level of the players in your division.

Genevajack and every team in the central, please copy and paste the above team list, and include your team name.

So effectively, we have 4 spots to fill all in the west. Anyone have any ideas how we can do this quickly, so we can decided on the vets poisons and start our draft. BTW, unles I missed it, I didn't see anywhere that is said leagues can only start on Mondays.
