"What's the ruling on Cruz and Velez? I don't care which way we go but we should decide before we start loading."

Seattle-Toronto was not picked. The only team on Julio Cruz's card is Seattle and the only team on Otto Valez's card is Toronto, so these 2 players are available for any team to draft.

For all the other Seattle-Toronto players, they are available to only the teams on their cards. For example, Ron Fairly has California, Montreal, and Toronto on his card. So only the owners of California and Montreal can draft him.

[i:b2590f43e4]Are we going by the original rule of this league?

"This theme league will be based on each owner picking 2 MLB teams, such as the Reds and Padres, and you can only draft (or pick up off waivers) players who have those 2 teams (such as the Reds and Padres) on their player cards."[/i:b2590f43e4]

[b:b2590f43e4]The answer is yes.[/b:b2590f43e4]

Just so we're all on the same page, here is where we are at.

We will use the following settings for this theme league:

Skill Level: Standard
Salary Cap: $80M
DH: Yes
Waivers: Yes (Weighted)
FA Drop Penalty: 5/10/20%

For the player draft, you can only choose the players who have one of your 2 MLB teams on their cards. Julio Cruz and Otto Valez can be drafted by any owner. Other players on Seattle-Toronto are off limits unless they have one of your 2 MLB teams on their cards.

You won't get some of these players from the draft because other owners will have them ranked higher. These players will be replaced automatically by the system, so you may end up with players that do not have one of your 2 MLB teams on their cards.

So if after the draft you end up with players who do not have one of your 2 MLB teams on their cards, you will have to drop and replace them with players who DO have one of your MLB teams on their cards.

So the only way you can get players who do NOT have one of your 2 MLB teams on their cards is through trades.

The way the league is currently set up it says DH Rule: NO (Pitchers bat 9th) - so I think it's set up wrong. We need a version that has the DH Rule set to 'yes'.

I'm checking to see if the person who created the league can change it.

The person who created the league must email stratomatic@sportingnews.com and request the change to DH - yes. The only other option is for someone from the East to create a new league and any loaded teams switch to that league.
