Issues with Btt80's for the night of 7/17/06

For those wondering what happened in games played last night, there was indeed an issue involving a procedure that failed to run as scheduled. This resulted in lineup and pitching changes made yesterday being ignored for games played last night.
We sincerely regret that this was allowed to happen, and apologize for the confusion. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about last night's games after the fact, but we are taking steps (specifically, a new pager system as a double failsafe) to ensure that it doesn't happen again.
All changes to team settings made today before 10pm ET will be in effect for tonight's games, as usual.

I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but I do have a decent amount of money put into these strat/tsn games and would hope this would not happen again. I hope the team I have in first and battling to stay there late in the season does not miss out of the playoffs due to the games that were screwed up last night.
Thanks for the response to the problem and I hope my concerns are also taken into consideration. Thanks

You don't sound like a jerk at all. You have every right to expect a certain level of quality from our games. We don't take this sort of thing lightly; I'd prefer not to be paged every time there's a technical issue that needs my attention, but I'm happy to do it if it means we'll be able to serve you better.

Currently, it seems as though pitchers who pitched games 1 and 2 of the playoffs last night can still be set to pitch tonight... will this be fixed before tonight's games?

hahaha Jimmy C that was classic.
Thanks Berneih for your work to get this fixed. And yes, I do expect the highest quality from TSN. Thats what I am used to and why I am here and love this site and organization. Thanks again and keep up the good work.
I agree the less you are paged the better and that means things are working like a well oiled machine (like the Steelers-sorry I had to throw that in).

This affected all owners on both sides of every game from last night. I'm sure TSN will do everything in their power to prevent stuff like this from happening again.
P.S. Game 1 is just as important as game 152. Each one counts as 1 win in the standings.
P.P.S. Please dont try to wave your wallet here. We're not that kind of crowd. This is comming from TSN's #1 revenue source of 80's teams BTW. (Except scorehouse, whoever that is).

Skyes what exactly is your point. I don't think I like your reposnse and I know I didnt ask you for your opinion or to be lectured by you.
#1 Simply put I am not waving my wallet at anyone. I pay for something and I expect it to work - plain and simple.
#2 I didnt ask for a lecture on how important game one was as to the last game. If I wanted your "expert" opinion I would have directed it to you.
Once agian I was addressig my concerns about the error and how it affected not only me but many others. Nothing was sarcastic or unqualified in what I said or any others who had concerns about last night. I suggest if you choose to lecture somebody then lecture your kids.
Here is a lectue for you:
Your million of 80's teams are not anymore improtant than the guy who has 1, so dont go throwing your teams around here we are not that type of crowd.
refund or free team

This mistake cost me the first 2 games of a playoff...all my changes that I masterminded caused me to lose....I do not think this is fair for all 162 games to come down to 2 equal teams and we dont get to manage them but have to throw them up in the air as a gamble due to a mistake on TSN.....I think we should be refunded or allowed to have one free game.
