Suggestion.... Strato Championship Series AKA The SCS

Postby rutkap » Sun Aug 20, 2006 1:29 pm

I have had so much fun with the March Madness thus far and have been blessed enough to make it through to the third round, I figured that with the start of the Football season around the corner we could start up another Mega Tournament. Here are 2 Ideas for it.

1. Exactly the same format as The March Madness Tournament with one exception - this tournament will be a $60M Non-DH Setup.

2. Have a "regular season" where we are put into "conferences" Then 3 seasons are played out 2 weeks apart in starting time. Those setups are the following:

1. 60M No DH
2. 80M No DH
3. 100M W/DH

the "SCS Final" will consist of the top 12 teams with the best overall record. It will be played with the standard 80M DH league.

What do you guys think?????

I like the idea with one exception, start 4 weeks apart which would mean each season is about 1/2 over when the next one starts.

Would each team need to play in a unique stadium or can each team play in the stadium for each of the 60, 80 and 100M leagues?

sounds like a great idea with the last suggestion used as well- there isn't much to do normally after 81 games

what are people's experiences with the 60 and 100 million leagues? I havent played a 100 M league since I assumed that there would be alot more luck in the drafts since, with 100M, you could afford to draft more top players. 60 Million leagues seem to require everyon to fight for the same cheap players.

If we are going to do 3 simultaneous leagues, I would suggest throwing a live draft or two into there.

do we still have access to a draft site? If so I could see eliminating the 100M for a live draft.

I like the 60M leagues, a lot of oddball players get used in those leagues. Plus you have to balance the good cheapies with the studs early in the draft in order to get your fair share.

Penn's site was working a less than two months ago when I last participated in a live draft.
