Here are the rules for mystery theme league three, as decreed by BJ.

Mystery 3: Big Fish, Small Pond

We'll use the same states we had before for a pick 3 Lotto for simplicity sake. We'll use today's (tonight's?)lotto results for the draft to get this thing started.

High to Low
1. Stadium Draft.
2. Stud Draft (Reverse order of Stadium Draft.)

Your one and only stud must be a position player. Anyone that you choose is fine. That person may not be dropped for the entire season though. Your stud player may be traded however.

Autodraft

1. Every team must carry a 25 Man Roster (minimum)for the entire season.

2. You must carry 5 SP's over $4.00 Million at all times.

3. No team may carry a hitter with a salary greater than $4.00 million, except your (1) stud, of course.

4. No $0.75 hitters may be on a roster at any time. Exception: Each team may carry only (1) $0.75 catcher to meet TSN requirement for 2 catchers.

5. NO DH LEAGUE, your pitchers must hit.

Boy, I really added a lot to these rules. Excellent ideas YF and Sean.

Good luck everyone and have fun.

Ammendment 1: Your stud player must be placed at the bottom of your autodraft card. Usually this goes without saying but in this case, it should be said to help prevent waiver round jockeying in preseason. If everyone puts their stud at the bottom of the card everyone will be have an equal chance during the autodraft for players and waiver wire priority. Honor system but please follow it.

Ammendment 2: A team may carry more than (1) Stud player if (and only if) that player is acquired in a trade. Otherwise there shall be no more than (1) stud per team.

Will there be another round of this league? Looks like a fun theme.

Not exactly the same. This is the "Mystery Theme League." You sign up for the league before knowing the theme. A lottery determines who picks the theme. Whatever theme that person wants becomes the theme for the league (though a certain amount of discussion generally helps to hone and shape the theme before it becomes final.)

It's fun, so I'm betting we'll have a new league when this one finishes. You can sign up then if it sounds interesting...

Howling has the division, no hope for the WC. So, I cleared my per game starters, starting lineups, etc. Let's see what HAL does with that mess.

Pillpop, if you're talking about the under $4M league (vs. the Mystery League deal), I'd be interested in joining. Why don't you start one up?

Nevermind - I'll start one up!
