I am ordering all these old-timer teams. Think it'd be interesting to play a face-to-face league. These are all basic sets, but the game is still fun to play, right. Anyway, anyone in the Austin area up for a face-to-face league. I'm itchin' to see what the 1950 Phillies can do.

I stocked up on old-timers and started doing some 60s team tournaments -- guys I used to watch on tv as a kid-- but it's solitaire here (eastern CT). I'd actually like to make it a little more interesting by using advanced bunt, h&r, fatigue factors, things you don't need full L/R cards to do. Especially with some of the 60s teams, with low BAs you need to be able to play small ball.

That sounds interesting. How'd you do the bunt and H&R ratings for advance play? Just best estimate? I suppose a player with low K rating gets higher H&R rating, but how about the bunt? How about catcher's arms?
I DO have the computer disk with ALL the old players -- I could get their ratings from there, I guess.
