In the old forum there had been a lot of interest in a netplay league using 1 year from the 80's (i.e. 1985) and doing a live draft. I am very interested in this. There seemed to be alot of people who wanted to do it.

I guess no one knows about this, or all interest died. I think I remember Sykes as the catalyst behind it.

yeah, Moodinator, Sykes raised up some interest, but put his participation on rain delay and started playing another net play league, 1945 or something. There was probably sufficient interest to get a league going, so it could probably be rekindled. I have some interest, but don't have the disks for the current season, or any 80's season. What disks do you currently have?

i don't have any of the disks yet either, but will get them. Prefer to play 1985, which seemed to be the most popular on the other board, but am flexible.

Netplay!!!

We are putting together a league right now that is planning on using 1975 as its base season. If anyone is interested please check out the following thread...

I don't have the time to commit to running the netplay league.

I was a main catalyst and I do recall us thinking that 1985 was a good year to use.

I'd likely be interested still; however, I would not be able to run it right now due to time commitment.

Anyone who was interested in an 80s netplay league should consider signing up for this one. '75 was a great year, and a lot of the names should be familar to 80s players: Lynn, Rose, Reggie, Rice, Fisk, Goose etc. Lynn's monster rookie year, the Big Red Machine (outstanding card for Morgan), Oakland's solid team. Good year to cut your teeth in netplay---decent depth in both hitting and pitching.
