The kiss of death is....dominating your league!! I'm beginning to get a little tired of dominating the league, only to get the smackdown in the semi-finals.

At the end of the regular season this team was first in pitching and second in hitting (in a pitchers park). Sooooo...what happens in the semi-finals:

1) Lost three straight by a combined 28-10.
2) Suffered a no-hitter from Candiotti.
3) Oh yeah...this all happened even though the other team lost Winfield for the entire semi-finals to injury.


Dominating your league is definitely the kiss of death.
OK...done venting...gotta go draft another 80's team now...

I think the kiss of death may have been putting a team named NY Amazin Mets in Dodger Stadium!!!

I'm sure everyone has a story to tell, but I had a team finish with 106 wins and the team I played in the first round was twenty-three games behind me. I ended up on the short end in a five game series. Granted , it was an ATGIII league, but sadly enough it does happen.
