The Gasoline Brothers: Crim and Eichhorn

Postby jsam9801 » Thu Dec 07, 2006 7:03 pm

I have managed almost 10,000 games  , but I have never seen back to back relief (uh, maybe relief is not the proper word, sacrificial lambs? ) appearances like Crim and Eichhorn had in a 27-2 drubbing of my Fenway Franks team. Here is the line:

Franks III IP H R ER BB SO HR PC ERA
J.Farrell LOSS(0-1) 2 1/3 5 4 4 1 1 1 48 13.50
M.Eichhorn 3 15 11 11 2 4 0 108 5.88
C.Crim 3 15 12 12 3 1 2 101 8.12
E.Vande Berg 0 2/3 0 0 0 0 0 0 7 4.66
Totals 9 35 27 27 6 6 3

In my last 6 games, my team has been outscored 74-14  , and doing its best to choke and miss the playoffs

No wonder they pulled boner pitching performances...that game was between the "***** 2" and the "Franks III".

(WOW...filters make the first team's name to appear in **** but you sure can read it fine if you click on the game summary!!)

Wow, 2 guys lit up in a row-haven't seen that.

One of my few spots in the record book are for a Ricky Horton "performance" for a terrible team of mine. 18 hits, 13 ER, but that's because HAL left him in for 8 1/3 innings, 172 pitches. Poor guy. Funny thing is he didn't get the loss.

Just curious, how much did those guys' ERAs rise that late in the season?

WOW!

Eichhorn's line includes striking out the side in the 5th before getting pounded in the 6th on ten singles. Of the 15 hits he gave up there was only one extra base hit - by Trillo of all people!

WOW!

Amazing that there were only 3 HR in that 27 runs scored effort!

Maybe not that odd.
