The three BPHRs on that card are all 2 or 12 rolls. There's also a HR chance on a 10 roll to either side. That's not too much. Good card, I wouldn't dump him. There are a lot of X-chances on that card, few Ks. So your D is hopefully decent...

Your probably right, I've had good luck with Perez when I've had to go to a five man rotation, but sometimes past performances cloud your vision,
and you keep guys you've had succuss with in the past, I'll hold on and see how it goes....

Every pitcher has the same X-chances.

Perez is probably my favorite 5 man guy, when you balance price and performance. And in my view the 89 year is a very good one--low WHIP and the HR aren't bad at all. I would definitely keep him. I've had Perez's 89 year twice, once in Riverfront and once in Royals and his performances were 16-12 with a 3.65 ERA and 17-8 with a 3.84 ERA.

For my money, Perez's only drop year is 81, and even got a 12-9 once out of that one, thought with a 4.58 ERA.

True, however...

There are some who might have an extra GB-X on one of the lesser hit numbers. I wouldn't think that'd be Pascual, though. Perez is a good pitcher in most of his years, really (outstanding in some). He's one of my favorite non-*'s, and worth using even if he gives up some taters.
