Okay, I get that the injury to a hitter tips off which year the card might be...

how do you know what year card a pitcher has?

In a no-DH league there is no way other than watching the stat splits of his performance since he uses the same pitcher card while batting for all the years.

In a DH league pitcher injuries help just like injuries to batters do. Pitcher injuries occur when facing the other team's DH on a roll of 6-12. That is column 6 and result 12. Just look at whether the batter was LH or RH to see what side of the pitcher's card to look at. Pitcher's are a little harder to determine because of the X fielder chances. The X fielding chart results can be anything from a base hit to a ground ball or a flyout, etc.

If a Pitcher has 200 or more innings, the injury has to be 3 or less.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
