Has anyone had any luck with Amos Otis? Can he hit right handers?

Unfortunately, I can't give you much input as injury reveal in game 10 showed I had his worst year (.247) :-(. I dropped him for ol' Willie Mays. He was only hitting around .220, but of course too few AB's. I do like his potential upside and defense on better cards.

Have Amos on 5 teams.
The good news is that he kills LH pitching, has a great arm and plays great defense.
The bad news is that he can't hit righties, and most of them time teams face 70% RH pitchers...

It's only 15 games into the season and here are some stats:
.306 AVE .419 OBP OVER ALL
.444 AVE .444 OBP VS LEFTYS
.167 AVE .400 OBP VS RIGHTYS
He was injured twice for 3 games each time already, revealing his 74 card which has .284 AVE .348 OBP.
There are 5 lefty starters in my division so it might work out OK.

Howdy,
Wonder if Otis would be worth consideration if he were playing his home games in Cleveland Municipal?

Why so unpopular?

Howdy,
Amos Otis appears to be a somewhat less expensive version of Cedeno. I think he'd be a worthy CF if one found oneself in a division which had some Lefty pitching, and/or a Yankee stadium. Anyone else?
Larry
PS: I consider Otis to be slightly overlooked, but only slightly.

A Otis is arguably the most under-represented player in the 70's SOM game. What do I mean by that? His card choices are lousy and don't represent his ability and how good he was during that decade (5 gold gloves, 5 all stars, and 4 top 8 MVP finishes is pretty damn good!). His current card choices make him overpriced. Its crazy to not have 78/79 as choices. His pricing has a lot to with the D and basestealing. Replace his 70/74 cards with 78/79 and keep everything else the same and I could see paying about 8mil for him
