Ballpark Ratings

Why wouldn't the BP rating be equal to the split rating (of 1-20) times the Ballpark Rating? If the split is ignored then Ive been playing this game wrong. For example a BP 1-8 in Jack Murphy would be 8/20*16/20=128/200 or 64%?

The murph is 0-16 so BP singles are 0/20 or zero. Most hitters and pitchers have 5 BP > on theirs cards, so you get big ZERO chances

BP HRs at 16/20 or 3/4. You really cannot play the same game as BP # are different on many cards from zero to eight.

So what is this 64% in your post.

Are the splits played on BPHR's? I've always played as though they aren't, that a BPHR 1-8 on the card would be read as a BPHR 1-16 if you're playing at the Murph, not as a BPHR 1-16 only if the split hits between 1 and 8. Which way is it exactly?

Pillpop, I don't really know what you're trying say?

If the reading on the card is...
#2- HR 1-8
fly(cf)B 9-20
This is a ball park effect HR(#). In the Murph 1-16 chance for a HR

HR 1-5
fly(cf)B 6-20
This is just read off the card, doesn't matter where you're playing.

gene, pillpop:

the result behind the # is ignored. If you have a split homerun behind the # it has no influence on the outcome. Whenever a # comes up you refer automatically and ONLY to the stadium's ballpark HR effect. In the case of Murphy stadium it is 1-16 (out of 20) or [b:55163ca03d]80%[/b:55163ca03d].
