Showing surprising power, but not a whole lot else.

Don't know if this works since I don't know what I'm doing.

perhaps a little overpriced, but.....

you're paying for 2 great seasons (72, 73) and one very good one (74; only .799, but 4R). his huge intangibles are hard to quantify, though - how much is a 1(-4) in CF worth? how much is a guy as fast as Cedeno worth? if i were to guess, i'd say you'd be doing ok with 72, 73 and 74, but should lean towards a dump with the others.

I won my title when I got "stuck" with Cedeno. I picked him up again and he hit for power just as he did the first time, both in the Dome. I think you can pretty much say many in the 70's game can be cinsidered overpriced(see Reggie Jackson post) with the disparity of results you can get. I must say that I was quite happy with what I paid him.
Cedeno 1974:

Cedeno just picked up:I think I had an injury reveal for either '74 or the bad year, so I think it's '74 with the power he's shown, which makes '74 look pretty good to me.

Sorry for not being able to put up team link.

Thru 66 games.......285/.348/.561......246AB...44R..6(2b)/3(3b), but has 20HR and 57RBI already. has 24SB-12CS.

Has big price tag, but no CF in the league has been better. My team is playing in Ful Co Std, so he prob gets bump from that, but still 20HR in 246AB nothing to sneeze at. If I had to make a guess based upon his stats and an injury he had, I am playing his 74 card.

thanks for the great feedback

I would have not expected that kind of production out of his 74 card - he is going to be busy covering my leftfield platoon of McRae and Gamble so I hope he brought his track shoes

Decisions like this one are much easier in a 100 million dollar league-

if you look at the cost of 1s in CF you have to think that Cedeno is not that poorly priced. I would rather have him at 9M than Paul Blair at 5M

You can play 4 of his years, if you get one of his first 2 seasons you will do a back flip.

2 more HR and 4 RBI last night. Current pace puts him at 52HR with 143RBI and 59SB and 108R.

By the way this is a 80mil league.

Surely he'll get better..

Howdy,

Acquired Cedeno in the supplemental draft and decided to keep him on my Astrodome team. In 58 ABs he's hitting .190, .230 OBP and just [i:cdd96b658b]1[/i:cdd96b658b] HR!
Surely he'll wake up. BTW, he's hitting LHP much better than RHP. So far I'd say he's having his '76 card. I'm told that a guy needs 100 AB before being judged..So far I'm not exactly thrilled.

Larry

PS: An update: Cedeno's up to 85 AB now. BA is .183, OBP: 230 and SLG: .281. He's hitting just .167 vs. RHP and a whopping .206 vs. LHP. It don't [i:cdd96b658b]git[/i:cdd96b658b] no better'n [i:cdd96b658b]this[/i:cdd96b658b].

Sounds much more like his last card, not 76... at this point I would dump him. I am his biggest fan in Strat... LOVE having him in CF, but I've always bailed on him if his power stats are missing and he is better vs. L. Sounds like that's the case with you.
