On pitcher usage limits:

"No, there are no set usage limits. However, pitchers who are overused will get tired, and they won't pitch their best until they are rested."

The way my rotation is going, all four pitchers are going to end up with 250+ innings. Does this mean they will pitch "tired" from the beginning of games? Or that they will basically get tired sooner during a game? Should I have my 5th starter pop in about 12-15 times during the season in order to keep my big four fresh for a possible playoff? This team is predicated on shortening up the pen (read: getting straight to Henke).

How much is it going to hurt me to stay with the four man rotation? WILL it hurt me?

YountFan Theory

YountFan has a theory that a 4 man rotation flags a bit between game 108 and 135. He claims to have stats to back this up, but I think it may be bad managing.

The game does factor in fatigue, but starters tend to have a short start every once in a while so that will be OK. You have to go with the best and hope for the best. I do try to rest a starter once, skip his spot, after game 108 if I can afford to.
