Adam, first there really was no theme to this league.

Intiially, it to merely be a league for new players to get some experience and have a playng field (that was not going to be effect by experience level of the players since everyone would be starting at the same point).

I did initially decided to only allow one team to play in one ballpark and once that ballpark was taken another team could not take it. I was making an exception also initially for help less since he already had selected a stadium he could not change.

That brings us to today, I was finding it difficult to get people to take spots in the league under my original rules, and utlimately the most important rule was the experience requirement. Therefore, hpefully to increase interest in this league, I relaxed the stadium requirement, but did ask that if you were to take the same stadium someone else did, that you tried to not put yourself in that same persons league (i.e. minimizing the maximum number of games that can be played at one specific field).

As for letting Sykes play, I was at first hesitant since it went against my original purposes for this league, which was to have a beginner league. However, two of the owners in this league (and currently we have all of a about 5 owners) expressed their consent to having him join, and I agree that it mgiht make sense to have a seasoned vet in here that we can potentially watch and learn from. I don't want to open it up to other vets since that would totally destroy my initial intent.

So bottom line is, a team owner can have any team stadium they want as long as they try and not join a division that already had that stadium. The DH rule is still in effect, you can still have eithe ra 4 or 5 man rotation. As for Sykes having to trade during the preseason, if we were to do that it would have to be agreed upon by the owners and a few ground rules would need to be established to create a fair situation.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments, becaue I am really open to anything at this point (guess you can say, I see other leagues that fill up in the matter minutes and afte r3 days there was really no one joining this league)

Thanks.
