6 games to go and I'm playing my chief rival. He's 94-62 and I'm 95-61 (same division). I beat him 2 of 3 to go up 2 games with 3 to go, but lose 1977 Oscar Gamble for 10 games! So, he's out for the entire first round against the 94-62 team. Sucks.

In my last 3 completed seasons, I've made the playoffs but lost in the semis (once with a 99 win team and once with a 104 win team). #4????

Bought a six pack. Got bounced in the Semi-Finals 4 times, got trounced in budgetball, then finished with the third best record in a league (which, crap, was good for third place in my division).

Now I got that itch again.

Lost '79 Bobby Grich for four games in second game of final after he had hit 45 HRs and driven in 107, my best performer. Also lost Carlton Fisk, 20HRs, for seventh game of final.
Fortunately, Grich returned for the 7th game and cracked his 5th HR of the playoffs, in only 5 games as I won my first title.
Next year, lost '80 Ted Simmons after he hit 39 HRs halfway through second game of semis and ended up scoring only 1 run in last two games.
