I have been slaving for the 70's and 80's for you guys.
Teams: 10,000+
AB's guys with over 500,000
IP's guys with ove 245,000
It ain't no DiamondDope, but hey the mystery card game is the step child of TSN anyways.
Enjoy it and provide some feedback. Be aware that I have no web programming skills so don't expect amazing things.

[b:c6687e497d]5/30/11 Update: I have moved most of the stuff here. I still need to bring over the Pitcher by Ballpark stats. That could happen this week. I am also working on collecting stats for the 90's so stay tuned. [/b:c6687e497d]

YountFan, simply amazing. Thanks for sharing this.
A Question and an Issue.
This includes only completed seasons, correct? By that I mean if the player got cut and finished the season as a free agent, his stats for that season are not included in this database?
Secondly, in the 80's Hitter side of the fence, the links to the individual hitters cause the following error:
Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e10'
No value given for one or more required parameters.
/StratRat/hitter_cards80.asp, line 68
All in all, looks like a great tool!

Pretty amazing to see which RP have pitched the most innings...Steamer, Reardon and Worrell in the top 12.
Quick Question: OBP seems low for the players. Highest catcher OBP is .328...that seems off.
Thanks YF for your efforts.

I thought the OBP looked off too, but it the one I checked were correct. How many time has your C been on base more than .328? Look at Carew, Hernandez etc. Near .400

the suprise was tettleton...I either ride out a .340 - .380 OBP or cut him as soon as I know I have a bad card.
Carter too. I think of BC's decade league. Carter .308 in '82, .354 in '83 and .390 in '84 for my last 3 seasons.

My real question is how are you able to collect the data? Thanks again for all of your hard work.

J, I wrote a java program to read the team sim and spilt pages and extract the data into a tab delimited file.
I then import this in to Access and produce summary data for the web pages.
I think I may need to pay for a provider because the free one I am using has issues with performance and stuff.
