I go off and complain about the preponderance of hitter's parks, and what happens? Next league I'm in has the following:
clearly favor hitters: Anaheim, Metrodome, Riverfront
clearly favor Pitchers: Shea (2), Comiskey, Royals, Astrodome (2)
No significant advantage: Yankee, Memorial, Cleveland
And you could consider CLE a pitcher's park because of the low HR rate, but I'll place it in "neutral" just to be safe.
Half the parks are pitcher's parks. Two of them are the worst HR park of the era. Comiskey and Royals are very poor HR parks, as well. Of the hitter's parks, Anaheim is lousy for singles.
How about that? Think the HR leader will break 40?
