Madlock is the DH.

Where is your outfield? I assume Bonilla in right? No back-up outfielders?

Bonilla in right. I believe one of my infield backups can also back up in the OF.

Actually, I just picked up Sheridan again as he can play all OF spots and he's cheap. Thanks.

Your team

Except for Haas, I like your rotation. You have Clemens, so pencil him in for at least 18 wins. Candy and Sid should be effective. I'd like to see another RH in your rotation, maybe a pitcher who did well in hitter's parks (low HR rate, perhaps). Henke is awesome. He's pretty much automatic, even in bad years.

I worry about RF for you. You have some good hitting, but it wouldn't hurt to have a decent arm over there. I suppose Sheridan can late-replace. That should help.

You really have one too many 3B. Harrah can be an awesome top of the order hitter, but you have Mad Dog and Bobby Bo. I'd go with Madlock at 3B and Bonilla as DH. I'd dump Harrah and get a different RF (or maybe a platoon combo). Gary Matthews is very cost effective, is a 3e11 in RF (No arm, unfortunately). He'll always draw walks and score runs. You also have the option of dumping Madlock, keep Harrah (who walks more), and getting another OF.

Another possibility: get a very cheap RH-hitting 2B to platoon with Wilfong. Dump Bowa, make Guillen the starting SS. Make the 3B salary dump (Harrah). This will give you real cash to work with. You can probably get a VERY good OF bat, or a real good platoon at RF. You'll be very light hitting in the middle IF, but who cares? Bat Guillen and Wil-whomever 8-9. Let Coop, Madlock, Bull, Bonilla and whomever the RF is do the work.

Just my take. You have some good players as it is. And Rocket, man, you can hardly have a real losing streak with Rocket there.

Perez

Perez will out pitch Bobby O in 19 out of 20 leagues. Bobby O is not really used that much, whereas Perez is a keeper.

Thanks for your insight honestiago. I'm looking at all of that...I have a bit longer. :)

Hey YF, yeah Perez is probably better. I just have a hard time with pitcher's cards and got a bit scared. someone else already picked him up.

Yeah I got Sheridan set to come in late. I changed my rotation a bit but the guys I got appear to have low homeruns on their cards and low extra base hits.

the best available RF'ers are Armas (with the HR's but dreadful OBP and too many GBA's), Easler (bad arm) and Bo Jackson. I think I may stick with things this way for now, put Bonilla in RF, and see how it goes. One is bound to have a bad card and I can let that one go.

Clemens

One thing to be sure of with Clemens is that you start him every fourth day. Otherwise you don't get your money's worth. But the rest of your staff is 5-day. So, use the "per-game starters" setting rather than "set your rotation." Give Roger a start every fourth day. And work the other guys in around him, favoring whichever 5 day guys are pitching the best.

Your team looks good. I would try to get a little more power. I always playin in Tiger, and I have noticed it is a low average, homer park. You pitching really doens't have to be that good, but they must not give up dongs.

Your pitching looks tight. You never know about pitching though. I would look for power.
