Ivan Dejesus was injured on a line out against a right handed pitcher. Checking his cards, it appears that 1983 is the only year that fits. Here is the strange thing. Dejesus was injured for 10 games even though he appears in 158 games that season. 1984 is the only season Dejesus misses more than 10 games. The injury on his '84 card is a strikeout. Can anyone explain this? :?

Thanks,

Mike

He's kind of an anomaly because even though he only missed 4 games that year, in Strat he's a 15 game injury risk because of his low # of PAs. Anything under 600 PAs is a 15 game risk. The same thing can happen in his '82 year even though he only really missed 1 game.

If I remember correctly he didn't start every game. He was used frequently as a pinch runner/defensive replacement which would explain the low PA total relative to the # of games played.
