Looking at card?

When I click on a players name it just says "Error" in the bottom left corner of the screen. Will it do this until I actually join a league or is it something else? When I click on the players names for Strat 2005 the card becomes visible. I've tried shutting my computer of and restarting it, but the back to the 80's cards still do not become visible when clicked on? Any suggestions?
I'm eager to start playing in a back to the 80's league. I know I will love it! I've spent most of the weekend reading the Back to the 80's postings and can't get motivated to do anything else. Tempted to pull out all my old baseball cards of past glory days. Can anyone help me with making the cards become visible? Please.

Is a different or more complicated type of java script used for back to the 80's? Today the java script cards in 05 SOM are opening for me, although they sometimes have not in the past few days. A few months ago I was able to open a 80's card while checking out the site.
If my computer needs an updated Java script for the 80's, any suggestions on how to go about making that happen? I'm not very computer literate.

well... if you were able to access the cards in the past that might mean something else (virus or worm)... to get the latest java however I think you need to go to java.com.
Is your internet generally slow, lately? I had that problem... and the tsn site is abysmal if your internet is taking a general hit. In my case it turned out that my cable modem (an old model) was failing.
Thanks NYC!

Hey fitch-
wow... i'm so pleased that I could help... Your team looks pretty good there... though you're going to hear a lot from folks that Langston is over-priced, that you should bag dunston, and that porter is over-rated.
I kind of like Porter, his fielding, onbase and occasional power are good. I think he is a definite keeper 2 yrs, borderline 2 yrs, and a definite drop the 5th yr.
I don't think you need Dunston and can free up cash to do something else.
I'm not crazy about starting the season with Langston. I do think you could spend less and obtain a better risk.... depending on who is out there...
Dang!

Unable to open up the cards again today, had the same problem last night. Has anyone ever experienced this? If so, how did you resolve it?

I can now open cards! :D What appears to have been the problem was a firewall that was installed and blocking popups. Just disabled the firewall.
