I think this looks okay on paper

Postby STEVEPONEDAL » Tue Dec 27, 2005 3:35 pm

I am playing in Dodger Stadium. Other than not having a lot of SB speed, I think I have a decent balance between pitching, offense and defense. That is if the mystery cards pan out.

Interestingly enough, of the twelve teams we are playing in 10 different stadiums, a couple of Kingdoms and Jack Murpheys and no Fenways.

Any thoughts or tips for this team?

Thanks

Drop Hurst or Petry and use the cash for a LF. Marchall or Oglivie or Downing come to mind. Also cash in Falcone and Ceuitrii for better or cheaper relief (W Fraser, M Willianson, etc). Drop Milner too you already have Lemon. Barfield will die in Dodger try Puhl or Lezcano. Puhl can lead-off. Grich may not hit in Dodger either.

Sorry for all the bad news, but then I'm not a Dodger player, buy you're wasting money with too many starters.

They all look good on paper...then the dice start rollin'.....

I don't think you really need 5 * SP. You are also spending way too much on relief. Drop Petry, trade in a couple of those expensive relievers for sub 1M and use the money you saved to upgrade your SS. Grich could be good or bad. Keep a close eye on him and drop him within the first 41 games if he isn't producing.

Good luck.
