The "Year" field is the revealed year after the season was completed. The final ERA and WHIP columns on the pitcher document and the final AVG, SLG and OBP columns on the hitter document, are the real life stats for that season from the player. All other stats are SOM stats for that player.

The "VALUE" column is my own value for that card for that season based on their simulated stats versus their real life stat line for that season.

I will update these documents as more teams of mine are completed. Future updates of these PDF files will include links to the player cards (pending TSN permisson of course).

Enjoy.

I clicked on the link, but I got a blank page. I wonder if it's the link, or my own software?

I believe you may need Adobe Acrobat Reader (available free) to download the files:

Great stuff indeed! :D

Could you remind us of what the factors in the yellow column mean? I assume the red ones in parens are performance below the real season? What would be a particularly weak or strong number? Is higher better in black and worse in red? I'm not real good at math....

it seems the yellow column is the difference between actual and simulated performance... with red type denoting below actual and black text reflecting above actual, vis a vis the formula outlined by sykes in a previous post.

Formulas for my VALUE column are a straight up comparison of AVG SLG and OBP for hitters and similar numbers for ERA and WHIP for pitchers with a slight modifier for Wins, Losses and Saves.

I've had great relief pitching and had them fail as closers during the same year. In addition, I had some great W-L percentages despite poor pitching numbers and vice versa.

That 27-8 Drabek season needed to stand out more than his other ones. In addition, if a closer threw up 50 saves, I wanted him to have more value than the pitcher with the same stat line and no saves. Those saves have more value to me. As would a RP with 10 wins or a RP who went 1-8 and deserved to be punished.
